New Clothes & Ifthar With Granny

Sunday, August 14th 2011

Today ummi took us to a clothing store to buy new clothes for feast. Ummi said it’s Sunnah to wear the best clothes we had on the day of Eid. However ummi also said that we should not be exaggerated, because Allah did not like it.

We went to Queen's boutique at the mall nearby, Ummi had become a regular customer and we were given a discount for every outfit we bought. In addition buying clothes for me and my brother, Ummi also bought mukena for praying.

Back from shopping, we went to granny's house. Today we would break the fast together. I was very happy when we all gathered, I have a lot of fun cousins. There were Muammar the intelligent and oldest one, the caring Ibrahim, Tazkiyan who never stopped moving, the chubbiest baby ever Bilal, and Tsurayya, my only loving cousin sister. We've played dot and line. Did you know how it work? We sat in rows, and each child draw points, lines, and tickle like spider legs on a child’s back in front. we did it while singing like this,

“dot, dot, dot! Line, line, line!

Spider here, spider there!

Spider everywhere!!”

In the evening after ifthar, uncle Ivan lit a lot of fireworks for us. We were very excited. All children love fireworks, right?

And finally when it’s time to go home we were very tired and I could no longer listen to ummi while she reads story and prays for us. Hoaahmmmm….. good night mommy, we love you so much… thank you for the clothes... ~,~
